The colorful town of Cassis. Overlooking the city of Nice. The chapel above Moustiers near Verdon. Dead babies brought up there to be brought back to life in order to avoid limbo. The chapel above Moustiers near Verdon. Dead babies brought up there to be brought back to life...
I didn’t know what to expect. Regardless, this place had me in tears. Only 1% of the place has been explored. People have resided here since the Neolithic period until 1985.
Such a diversity of wildlife. And so accessible!
The hotel is out of the world. Every room has a view of the Taj Mahal! Such a contrast between the haves and have nots.
Temples, temples, temples!
Visited an aboriginal site, a rainforest botanical ark and an Australian Zoo the first day and then to the Great Barrier Reef! Wow!
Tropical paradise! Plumeria trees and palms. Mary would have loved it. Placed some ashes on some shells and covered them with a shell. 😓 Having trouble posting pictures of Samoa. Will try again when I get to Cambodia.
Spent a very full day today: visited statues at sunrise, explored lava tubes, saw the sight of the birdman cult and the on a flight to Tahihiti for refueling and finally to Samoa. By the time I hit the bed it was midnight tomorrow and it was 6 AM...
All of my preconceptions of this place were misconceptions. We had some great talks from a guy who knew and worked with Thor Heyerdahl and is native to the island. Incredible and credible insight into the truth of this place.
I made it to fabled Incan city in the clouds. Thunder and lightning over distant peaks, the sun and clouds playing hide and seek. Knowledgeable guides provide insight into the ruins. Next stop Easter Island.
